Training Services
InVent Health provide highly developed training programmes for all our staff at all levels in the organisation. Staff training and development are central to our success and are an essential component to the safe provision of care as well as staff recruitment and retention.
Training commences with formal induction programmes that meet the requirements of the company, individual care packages and regulatory bodies.
The induction programme for carers includes specialist training in:
- Basic Life Support, paediatric and adult ( including tracheostomy resuscitation)
- Health and Safety in a domiciliary setting (including, moving and handling, fire safety, infection control, food hygiene, lone working)
- Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults
- Confidentiality
- Cultural Awareness
- Professional behaviour and professional boundaries
- Basic Assessment of Children and Adults
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Medication
- Documentation
- Nutrition and Enteral Feeding
- Suctioning and tracheostomy care
- Principles of Ventilation
- Epilepsy
- Spinal Injuries
Additional Induction for Senior Carers, Nurses, Team Leaders and Co-ordinators includes:
- Advanced Assessment
- Complex Care Assessment
- Risk Assessments
- Managing difficult Situations and Stress
- Managing teams and Communication Skills
- Training, Competency Assessment, Individual Performance Reviews, Supervision
- Recruitment
InVent Health provide support for all carers to undertake National Vocational Qualifications(NVQ’s) levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care or Child Health. Additionally Level 4 Training and Development and Train the Trainers are available for all staff who undertake a training role.
InVent Health is signed up to the Governments ‘Skills Pledge ‘Initiative.
A rolling programme of training is available throughout the year.
