Training Programmes
As well as training our own staff we provide high quality training in complex care and long-term ventilation for individuals or staff in other organisations such as:

- Education Authorities
InVent Health provide support for all carers to undertake National Vocational Qualifications(NVQ’s) levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care or Child Health. Additionally Level 4 Training and Development and Train the Trainers are available for all staff who undertake a training role.
We are signed up to the Governments ‘Skills Pledge ‘Initiative.
Training Partnerships with the NHS
Invent Health work in partnership with the NHS to support them in developing the range skills and knowledge needed within their own team to provide safe care to the growing number of patients with complex care needs living at home.
Our support ranges from provision of training and competency assessment for NHS nurses and carers in the same way as we would train our own staff (depending on local need). See an example competency document.
Following formal classroom workshops and training our senior experienced nurses each undertake clinical shifts with the learners until they are competent and confident to work unsupervised. This model has been very successful where PCT’s wish to develop or expand their in-house continuing care team but lack the resources internally to do so.
We also provide train the trainer programmes and high level ventilator training for NHS nurses and team leaders who may find themselves in a position of providing training for carers themselves and need to acquire extra skills to facilitate high quality training.
Successful training partnership with the NHS have proven to be beneficial to staff recruitment, development and retention as well as financially beneficial to the PCT’s in the provision of a growing area of care and associated costs.
